Blank Canvas Tee

I’ve recently managed to finish a couple of projects but photographing them has not been happening beyond the mirror shot or the camera phone quick take.

I want to tell you about this basic canvas tee that is available as an open-source pattern here. You can download the pattern in your bust size and make mods on your first muslin.

I love the dolman sleeves and they really ease fitting this tee. There are also great directions on how to put the tee together so you’re not left on your own. Here’s my first tee: I gave you a little preview in my last post.

You can see I left the bottom hem untreated. On the next tee, I’m definitely going to add length. I could also add a waist band in the fabric and create a drop waist look.

I don’t know if you remember this fabric but I’ve had it lying around for a while, ever since I made that quick loungy dress last summer.

I’m trying to hack the basic canvas tee to make other looks. So far here’s my inspiration:

But in reality, I have a pile of cut fabric I’m doubting will turn into anything.

    LOVE the color!

Does “canvas tee” mean like “A Blank Canvas to work with” or a tee made out of canvas?

My bad. It’s supposed to be a blank canvas tee. as in a blank canvas, as you thought.

I love love love what you did with this… If you have hack ideas but don’t know how to make them happen you can always email me the photos and I’ll eventually feature them as a hack… I think you might like this month’s hack very much. :)

Definitely will. I’m really excited for the next hack. I need something that I don’t have to fiddle with fit-wise.
